I love shopping at the Mexican market. Only thing is, I can't identify half of the vegetables, and have no idea what to do with them!
Could you enlighten me? I want to try the nopales (is that the same as tunas?)... How is it prepared?
Once I tried a recipe given to me by a friend... it was a green veggie (very starchy) that I sliced and fried and made sort of a cheese sandwich out of. I've forgotten the name now... And there was a prickly veggie too... maybe it was the same one?
